Throwing for the best thing left.

"He who has WHY to live on can bear almost any HOW."

Just had some crazy session with my sister, Mummy and Daddy and Mummy almost laughed till she lost her voice hahaha! Done with the luggage we're bringing there, and I'm left with my bagpack to deal with. I need to bring some notes over there in case I completely forgot that I am still attending school on Monday. I did quite a fair bit of what is left undone for IAP and I believe we'll be able to finish it on time but that is IF cal and seehong manages to complete everything I've allocated to them by Monday.

Gotta continue loading songs for myself and xuan and thn pack my bagpack and thn some part of my table before I go to B E D tonight.

Ciaos people!

"Friends Forever"

I chanced upon this word "friends forever" while texting Joey just a few minutes ago.

"Friends Forever" seems so "Primary School" like how she describes it. I recalled back and I realised I didn't have any of those "Forever Friends" that stayed till now.

Maybe it was due to the lack of technology like Facebook /Msn /Twitter that kept us together.

Maybe it was the lack of initiative that we didn't approach people and make them "real" friends.

Maybe it was due to the fact that we are enrolled into the Primary schools that were near our homes and we had no chance to get to know one another. The only aim in common was to - get home asap.

I thought I had this "real buddy" and "good friend" during Primary school days were she totally changed me. I was who I am, who you know me as of now. This outspoken and loud girl whom will do anything on earth just to make you smile. I don't mind being really ugly doing stupid actions and I don't mind being the one whom you could rely on in times of needs. That was me before I knew her.

She was such a quiet young girl whom I admire. She always had either of her parents sending her to school early in the morning and she would just reach school on time. She would wake up just minutes before school starts and that saves her alot of time. She never fails to attend school like I do and I would feel so lost not having her by my side. She had alot of things I admire. Her personality and her appearance and how the teachers would praise her name and how she would always score 1 mark or 2 more than me. We joined the same CCA, we eat lunch together, we get presents from teachers together, we work hard together and we got into the same class for 4 years together. She was this very soft spoken girl, those kind of student who will stand up and answer the teacher's question in a manner that the teacher cannot hear her. She did not have alot of other friends as well. We stayed together throughout our Primary school life and eventually got into the same Secondary School as 19 others in class.

There were 12 classes for each level in CCHMS and I in the same class as only one guy. She wasn't in my class. Yes I was sad, really sad because life had to make fun of us and assigned her to the class beside mine. We still met up to go school every morning and sometimes after school. As time goes by, I see her making new friends in her class and I was really upset. She started to ignore me, or I should say we started to have lesser things in common to talk about. We joined the same CCA at the start but I quited after a year. We lost contact after since. It was really quite sad because I thought our friendship would last like "forever". I just lost a "Forever Friend".

Ironically, friends in Secondary School actually lasts longer. I have this small clique of friends who will take the initiative to meet up at least once every year, even when one is not in Singapore currently. I rmbed how much I didn't like one of them. I will always talk behind her back, saying that she's selfish and blah blah but in the end we got along so well when I really got to know her better. The other 2 are really quiet people and I only got to know them better when I was allocated to sit with one of them in class. I even made her cry! But true friends are those who would take all these things are memories and things we could talk about in the future. Now, we will gossip about all the other people and also talk about things that happened in the past that are so so ridiculously stupid. We will laugh at one another and the things we actually did. Although we come from all backgrounds and we choose so different things in life, there is this string of thoughts and memories and the love we shared that brings us together so often, so bonded.

Nevertheless, I will never regret choosing Polytechnic instead of going into JC after my Olevels which I may already be an undergrad now. I made so many friends who will be there in just an sms or a call, so many that I can never finish typing their names here if I want to, so many that I can count upon, so many that I will never want to graduate from this school! Like the times we spent together became solid memories and the photos we took together became an album.

I cherish every single one of them, every single one of my friends. As I grow other, maybe I think "Friends Forever" is so much more suitable to describe the friends I have as of now.

As simple as that -

It was BBSG 2010 Collection at Clementi ytd! The whole thing was super super tiring I would say but all our efforts paid off! We helped 2 residents to buy 4 full hampers cuz they didn't have the time to buy and one of them couldn't walk well (: The guys went Shop N Save to get the items at first but they couldn't fit into the $50/hamper budget after shopping for 45 mins so I went down personally and changed alot of the items and I managed to get it at $41/hamper instead of their $57/hamper! Budget queeeeeeeen :)

We collected alot alot of things including almost 100 kg of rice donated by the residents! Some of them were really generous but some of them were really unhelpful at all. :<

Going to get my 7 pledged hampers and Joey is getting her 2 pledged hamper with me tmr after school!

I'll stand on the 10th cloud.

I think my niece is super amazing (!) Wanqing called from China and spoke to me!!!!!!! I couldn't be happier than that! Someone whom I hug everytime I see her, someone whom I will think of everytime I have something to share, someone whom will make me feel empty without her presence, someone who gives me everything I need. I can't wait for the Genting Trip which is counting down in 7 days' time because all those wonderful memories we had 2 years back are already flashing through my brains and I can definitely picture how much fun we are going to have again this time round!

Hello Wanqing I know you will read this! I love you so much and I can't wait for you to be back ya know! That 60 seconds on the phone is enough. Just enough to cover how much I'll miss you still.

18 Nov 2010 , 17:09:42 -

Give me another 180 days. I will try.

Thursday, November 18, 2010

By the time, 2 days time.

Its 2:04am and I am still here trying to do IAP.

I think by the time I have time to rest, the Singapore Zoological Gardens need not buy Pandas from China alr cuz I can be the Panda with my dark eye circles :(

IAP is still in a mess because of some "little" errors made at the start and I have to clear up all the mes which makes me kinda frustrated while I am doing it. The worse thing is that I cannot find any sample disclosures that will suit what Mr Neo wants. I shall then write it in my own words. But hello, my English is like 半桶水 you tell me how am I supposed to be writing in the "Proper Disclosure English" that will not be too informal or way too formal for marks to be deducted. Actually I like what we are supposed to do in IAP cuz I think its really very fun ya know. But the work load is da bomb! Esp when you have people who keeps on doing the wrong things or go MIA :(

Anw spent almost the whole of today outside teaching tuition and also meeting up with Joey & Zixuan at the airport, to supposedly "study" ahahah! Ya know what happened in the end right.

I am super obssessed with Itouch's Sally's Salon which I just bought this evening and I think Milly Jie Jie and Zi Xuan are addicted to it as well. Wanqing will also be the same when she's back! Yeah soon soon :) Alrighty, back to IAP before I sleep and I hope that I can wake up for the 10am class tmr morning!

Nong Nong day tmr.

P.s. I am so disappointed I couldn't go for the BBSG@SP's opening ceremony argh! But its ok! There's always a "next-time" hahaha!

Endless tick tocks.

I know I know its really late at night :(

Szemin and Wanqing went overseas, one on Sunday, the other on Tuesday! I will miss these girls so much cuz we've been seeing each other almost everyday! Almost eat every dinner together, for almost 14 years of our lifes :( I have totally no idea when they will be back but I guess it should be early next week & ya know what! We'll be going Genting TOGETHER on the 26th weee!! Couldn't be more excited about that! Imagine how we'ld not sleep and how much fun we'll have!

Had some "interview" which takes up 20% of the overall module!! Omg I've got the most important questions :( He asked me about all those office politics and he didn't give me the freedom of what I wanna talk about :( But I guess it was alright overall! That makes up almost 40% of the module! Resume + Interview. Both equally foreign to us. But the good thing is that there's no lessons next tuesday wahaha! And ya know ya know what? It'll be like 3 weeks of 4 days weeeeeeek alr! Happy right happy right!

I'll be giving tuition at Bedok at 11pm tmr morning and meeting my dearest Joey & Zixuan at 1pm to get to the airport (AGAIN)!!

Back to IAP :( Ciaos!

It gets harder every day.

Tmr's officially the start of Year 3 Sem 1 Week 5. Can you imagine how time flies?

Haven't really been doing much for the past few days cuz I just feel like procrastinating and heck care about all the work that I'm supposed to do and supposed to be completing.

Ytd was really awesome! My cousins are coming back from the airport, 5.30am in the morning and a hell lot of us went tonning at the airport!

Trevor sent us to the airport last night after Majong session at 2 plus am. Us meaning me, Milly sis, Wanqing, Zixuan, Weijian, Szemin. My sister couldn't make it cuz she had to work the following morning! We set off in the car and couldn't decide where to go first because parking at the airport can be really expensive. In the end we settled for Downtown East which is nearer to the Changi Airport! Sat at Subway (again!) and played quite a few rounds of Monopoly Deal while Zixuan fell asleep after eating her Egg Mayo (without Ham at first) sandwich. We had this weird bunch of adults sitting beside us, about 10 plus of them, talking and laughing like really loud and ppl there are of mix races! Like Chinese to Malays to Indians to Eurasians and they were so much crazier than us! Literally blasted our ear drums. By the time it was 5am, I suggested moving on to the airport in case anything happens and we would miss their arrivals.

By the time we reached T3, their flight already landed and it was about almost 45mins early. Sat down at the arrival hall for awhile and they started walking out! It was really heart-warming when I see the smile on her face when she first saw us. Its a surprise you see! Who would expect your children and cousins to be the airport, 6am in the morning to fetch you home? (:

Had super early breakfast at McDonald's (hotcakes mad love!) and we came home all tired and sleepy and slept till evening hahaha!

Tmr's gonna be another long day because I still have so much to do argh :( I don't like it! But hello I swear I am going to conquer school work!

Anw, Genting is just 2 weeks away! WAIT! Its 10 days away only! I can't wait to spend quality time with my family again!

I am going on a budget week starting from tmr and my aim is to spend $10 or less within this one whole week in school! Let's see if I can do it! I know I can(not)!

Don't like reality.

I am ok.

Wednesday, November 10, 2010

I pressed the "stop" button on my clock.

I took a few snap shots of SB's fire drill which went of at 2.30+pm on the 9th Nov 2010! I thought it was rather memorable because the last time I went through a fire drill that requires everyone in the school to evacuate was in Chung Cheng! I rmbed how we would all line up in twos and then squeeze through the hallway, down the stairs, walk pass the lake and to the bball court.

Fire drill in SP was pretty much the same, except that that number of people and the Stadium was really really far away, especially so when the fields are wet (just after the rain), and that we are told to PACK OUR BAGS AND RUN (where we used to just leave everything we have in class, supposed to run for our life you see), and that we DO NOT HAVE TO CLIMB THE STAIRS!!!! YAY!! Ya know why? Cuz my classroom's on the first floor for that very CSB lesson! Hurray!! The carpark from Hilltop to the Stadium, MLT8 to the Stadium was all fully packed with "mentally prepared" students who knew about the fire drill way before it happened! Some lecturers even had oranged coloured tags on their arms reading "Fire Fighters" hahah! It was quite funny but it was rather a good experience. We were dismissed back to our classes an hour later. We started leaving when we saw everyone leaving, we don't have any idea when was it dismissed officially. Statistics showed that last year's fire drill (which I didn't get to take part in) ended in 8mins from SB to the stadium, but I reckon that it took us almost an hour to complete the whole thing. That shows how much statistics can tell the truth :p

Ya know this whole week has been really really packed with all sorts of things until I don't have time to sleep properly and ended up being late for the 2nd 8am lesson since school reopened. I srsly d i d n o t h e a r t h e a l a r m c l o c k r i n g neither did I p r e s s t h e s t o p o r s n o o z e b u t t o n! It just went off silently I thought hehe :)

Was late for half an hour today for AFA2 tutorial (yet another 8am class)! But when I sat down, he was only 2 steps from the beginning of the 1st tutorial question (: Heng ahhhhh!!! Ate KFC with Xinyan & Ras at FC5 for lunch and finished up AFA tutorial before I proceeded with my IAP :( We have almost 3 weeks left before IAP submission is up, but we have no idea where we stand yet before it is a complicated process oh gosh.

I can't sleep now. Idk why either. I feel like sleeping but I am not that sleepy yet. I feel like not doing anything tonight but I know I still have alot to complete.

On a sidenote, attended PWC's talk after AFA lecture this afternoon, rushed for the career and further studies booth at Convention Centre str8 after that and I met Yz & Wilfred! I went to snatch Yz's bear and I gave this bear a name :) Say hi to Ah Green you people!

I need to pack my messed up table now & I have a new tuition assignment tmr afternoon at 4pm str8 after my MFB tutorial! Really hope that I can reach my student's place in time :) Ciaos!

DANG! SB's Fire Drill!

I must talk about my 1st fire drill in Singapore Polytechnic, moreover school of business haha! It was quite fun actually, to calculate that we actually spent about an hour at the stadium skipping our interesting CSB lesson! I took quite a number of photos and I must post it up soon! Ok, I'll post it up tmr or sth (: Off to sleep alr! Has been chionging IAP and I realised I have not enough time for that! Need to do it during the 4 hour break tmr (: Shall bring laptop to school then!

Now I know.

I suddenly have got so many things packed into my timetable. I need to finish up alots of projects, I need give up my "free" time to give tuitions, I need to finish up all those tutorials owing, I need to do this I need to do that. Omg, please give me more time time time!

I can smile continuously for the next 4 weeks!

I am so happy so happy so happy now that I cannot stop typing
"I T E L L Y O U I A M T H E H A P P I E S T G I R L I N T H E W O R L D N O W B E C A U S E I F I N A L L Y B A L A N C E D T H E F S !"
because I finally balanced the FS that has to be handed in! After I arrange all the other individual books, we can slack alr ^^

P/s. I know you cannot imagine how happy I am (: But IDC!

Newest family member - 42" Plasma TV !

I MUST talk about the interesting journey to EXPO Hall 6 yeah! Daddy wanted to buy a new tv all along because the old one in our living room could do "graphic dancing" as and when it likes. The kiasu me went into the first row when the LG hourly special rates are going on! So when this 42" LCD came about, I went all the way to the front (didn't even care if Mummy & Daddy are following)! When the price went from $1,499 to $649, I didn't ask if my parents wanted to get it and all I did was to snatch for the "only 5 sets" with this special price! Until a few seconds later, I saw this aunty's hand coming from behind, trying to snatch a deal too! But the deals were over because all 5 sets were taken (one by me) and she was sad. I turned back and saw my mum! She was the one trying to get another set haha! When she knew I took one alr, she was damn happy and say I kiasu! The only thing I told her was, "KIASU THN GOT SPECIAL RATE OK" Hahaha! Ya, I know I've been really kiasu in alot of things but hello! KIASU THEN GOT GOOD DEAL OK!!!

The TV is already installed but it didn't look 42" big (:

The man & wife.

The sum which two married people owe to one another defies calculation. It is an infinite debt, which can only be discharged through all eternity.

It was a wonderful church wedding. It wasn't the first time I attended a church wedding, but this one feels so real, so close, so heart-warming.

Congrats to Kenny & Candy! It spells how 2 human loves make one divine.

50 Rounds of Perseverance.

If you think poly 50 is EASY, think again. Or its just me that feels super weak cuz of the lack of training and laziness :(

I thought the actual day would just be like some normal 50 round trainings, but its the stress and pressure all the other runners put upon you that makes you so determined that you wouldn't want to stop for a second.

Photobucket

I remembered how I always like to cheat abit and slow down cuz I felt just a little tired during the trainings. But there isn't any chance for me to do that during this particular day. Everyone was so competitive, especially the CLS group near us. They are like so determined to win the race and chiong like nobody's business.

It was really really tired with all the pressure and stress that comes from the surrounding. It was a fun yet tiring experience.

I remembered how everyone helped me chiong for the first few rounds cuz I was having cramps. When I recovered, almost everyone else started to peng alr. Everyone's face turned so white that it feels like they're going to die anytime soon. It was really scary ok!

It was this very moment that we all waited for. Stupid Yihan didn't tell me that we've actually completed the race. I was still standing there waiting eagerly for the tag #1 to arrive so that I can chiong my last lap from pit 1 to pit 2. Until we saw beeqi walking over to us, I almost felt crying when I gave Beeqi that very warm hug. I am sure she felt the most satisfied as if she completed the whole race herself as she was the one who ran pass the finishing line that marks the end of our months of trainings.

Well done MFP! Well done Primers (Y)!
