The Big Quiz, Hush Puppies Product Launch

There has been 2 major events going on in the office for the past 2 weeks and I'm so glad that I'm part of it :) 

Last week, I had the chance to help out at the National Current Affairs Quiz (Semi-finals and finals which took place one after another) organised by The Straits Times and Ministry of Education! It was a really good experience for me because I got to see how things work before an event that is expecting some big shots. Anw I've been supporting HCI since the day I got to know that they're in and they've been performing really well until some cocky RI people decided to play strategy which made my HCI clinch the 1st runner up. I don't care, in my heart, they're the winner lol.

Just 2 days ago, we had this Hush Puppies Autumn/Winter 2012 Hemingwaydesign Product Launch taking place at St.James Power station! The atmosphere was so good & the lil dog Victoria came!

It is always at this kind of circumstance when I need to reconsider that trust. It's really not the fact that "I'm always correct" but at least we as humans need to listen & accept. It's hard to talk things out.

Fifteen / 15

 

If you're wondering why this title.....? - Xuan, being the youngest, is already 15 y/o. It has been like this for the past 15 years. We used to spend almost every day together while they were younger and had dinner at Sims Drive. 15 years, so much memories, beautiful & ugly. 

We used to quarrel really often while we were younger. Quarreling over Barbie Dolls (All of us wants the one with the longest hair, the prettiest clothes); quarreling over our favourite Vitagen flavour (nobody wants ORANGE, yes they stopped the manufacturing alrd, I think cuz NO one likes it anw); quarreling over who sleeps with who (my sister, me, Qing & Xuan. So its a 2 - 2 thing. YA, like that also can quarrel). 

Now, while all of us grew other & they are staying at home instead of our place, now. It was during the switch over period when I was so afraid that our relationship will drift just like that. I was so afraid that things will change cuz we no longer see each other that often; cuz we no longer play with each other; cuz we don't even have the chance to quarrel with each other anymore. (Anw I know its kinda weird for me to be typing all these out of nowhere, but this is what I really feel.) I'm 21, the youngest is already 15. But I watch them grow up. 

I feel so proud to say this actually. School, work & friends - Nothing, is keeping us apart, nothing. 

This feeling came too strong, when I worked for the last 13 days, almost 14hours daily. They were the ones I really want to see. They were the ones I want to complain to and confide with. Guess what? The best thing is...... They'll always be there for me, ANYTIME. 

We don't have to do much, because even spending time in front of the TV, watching fake Fei Yu Qing together, feels SO good. We cherish every single moment with them. Shopping trips, dinner, sleepovers, calling each other names & too many others to list............. 

Technology, such as Twitter / Facebook drifted people apart, but sorry, this does not apply to us. I hope & I trust that this relationship will last forever, because, with them, I can do without any friends. 

Not by chance

It wasn't by chance all these people (they're appearing in my life more and more often now) get to know each other. Sometimes I find myself really amazing LOL ok bhb, but it's the truth. 

Almost 3 weeks ago when Jireh asked in the office if there is anyone(s) we know and are interested in working part-time on one of the weekends. I texted a few of my friends/family/mix and they got the position filled immediately, without knowing what job are they up to. Thank you people :) 

So it was last Sat & Sun where we had a lot of fun at the ST Job Fair as beverage servers for Nescafe Alegria! Nothing beats working with all my loved ones (Aw I'm so touched to have all these 随传随到 friends/family/mix around me)!!!!!! 

So one thing I found out while looking at the pictures was - all these people, who came together, actually came from all phases of my life. AMAZING OF WHAT!
